LynxCrypt100 Card Free Conditional Access System
Card Free CAS : LynxCrypt100 A secure, affordable Conditional Access System for Cable, MMDS, Satellite and Terrestrial LynxCrypt 100, for cable operators, a basic, simple encryption system at the beginning to reduce their front-end investmenet. With the technology of Addressable Software Trap (AST), developed by Telelynx, to encrypt the channels, LynxCrypt 100 is designed to be upgradeable to a full scale Conditional Access System (CAS). This soft CA requires no smart cards in STB, a substantial saving for operators. It also offers features of Soft Disconnect, Hard Disconnect, OTA download, Finger Print, Master-slave, to name a few.

With this scheme, therefore, any un-authorized STB will not be able to view any scrambled programs. No smart card is needed. The STB also supports "FTA Block" to disable the output of FTA channels. 2000 to one million addressable LynxCrypt 100 Set-Top-Box receivers. No smart cards needed.	Subscriber Management System This SMS supports Stop/Resume authorization as well as tier (package)-based subscription. A basic billing system and subscription statistics are also included. Optional functions such as master-slave STB, pay-per view (PPV), Mosaic program guide, and auto database backup are also available for operators to select.	An innovative software - based addressable trap system A low-cost solution for operators to encrypt their contents Prevent un-authorized viewing of precious channels. A free-to- air (FTA) STB is not allowed to view any encrypted programs The system is scalable and can be used for cable/MMDS systems of any size, large or small Operators can shut off the viewing right of any given STB from the head-end computer The system can be upgraded to a full scale, smart-card based conditional access system No smart card is needed in the STB to run LynxCrypt 100, leading to a sizable saving for operators No smart card reader is needed, a further saving for operators (Smart card reader is an option). STB can be upgraded to take smart card reader in the future when running a full scale CAS is required Subscriber\'s STB can continuously view authorized scrambled channels even when the CAS/SMS server PC fails or is powered off. Supports Master-Slave Set-Top-Box function (option) Supports FTA Block and early Reminder of subscription expiration
